In August 2012, I finally finished my biggest assignment ever, a coffee table book about milk for Tetra Pak. In April 2011, I was asked by Tetra Laval´s communications officer, Jörgen Haglind, to make a book, "a tribute to milk" to celebrate their 60th anniversary in September 2012. My team, a writer, Sofia French, a project manager, Beth Friberg, and myself, travelled to ten countries taking photographs and making interviews of people in the milk industry, farmers, dairies, supermarkets, consumers, distributers, chefs and you name it. We have been shooting cows, goats, sheep, buffalos and camels in Sweden, Italy, Brazil, Russia, South Africa, China, Pakistan, Kenya, New Zealand and the US. The final result is this book, printed in 34 000 copies in nine languages. The book is being distributed as a gift to all employees of TetraPak, TetraLaval and de Laval as well as some select customers. This job has kept me busy for 16 months with very little time in between trips for other assignments although I managed to squeeze in some skiing in China and Italy, a boat cruise assignment in Egypt, a food trip assignment to France, a dog training program in a US prison, a pro bono trip to Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya and another travel assignment to China. Here are some samples from the book, which by the way, was designed by legendary AD Lars Hall.
